The purpose of this blog is to draw you and I to a closer relationship with the living God and to be an encouragement to you who live in the same world as I. This world seeks to bring us down and keep us from catching even a glimpse of our Heavenly Father, so it's our duty as Christians to shine Christ's light in the darkness and help people to see the One Who has created us. Helloooooo Everyone!

What an eventful last few weeks we've had! :) We just got back from a 4 week trip in the South where we met lot's of different people and lot's of different spirits. We had a tough time being in some of the cities because there was such perversion and witchcraft and over-all worldliness (a different sort than that worldliness of New England). But the people we met and the things that happened were indeed worth it. :)

Also, of course getting to see my dear sister Christa and her husband Jay and son Luke were definitely worth it. =D

One story in particular needs to be told -

At the concert in Pritchard Park in Asheville, N.C. a homeless fellow [about 20 years old] stayed through the whole thing and we ended up talking to him all night afterward. He knew he was empty and that there was nothing he could do for himself, but he didn't care to "try" God again because things had failed in the past. He was carrying a Wicca book and thinking he'd try that instead although he knew he didn't care for it much. He had gone to the public library and found not a single book on Christianity and whole sections devoted to witchcraft!

Well, we talked to him for a while and went to coffee with him and some other new friends and by the end of it, he went over to talk to Dad. He told him that he had a demon and that he wanted to get rid of him! (We prayed before we got there that we might talk to one person in particular that would know their position and would want to get out of it!) (can't get any more straight forward than that!) (it's very difficult to find people that have had enough of this world, acknowledge their emptiness, and want to have real Life)

So we went back to the RV with him and he was really scared that the demon would manifest itself (because it did so every day, he said) . We started praying over him and Gabe sat next to him praying in the Spirit and the demon loudly hissed at him and all at once left Chester and was gone! Praise You Jesus!! The demons can not stand where the precious and powerful Name of Jesus is spoken!

So it seems like God called us to Asheville this year specifically for one young man's life. He is a free man by the power of God and if you all wouldn't mind praying for him, I know he needs encouragement! He's kind of in a really dark city. Thank you!

Haha I didn't intend to take up the whole post on one story, I had wanted to share something else with you too! But I'll have to wait until next time... so I hope you have a wonderful night and God bless you!

Hi Everyone!

At last! It's finally here! I made it to a computer in Virginia and am finally getting the rest of this post up. :) lol Thank you all for being so patient and not sending me "subtle hints". :P

These next pictures are of our trip to Ontario about 3 weeks ago. {I'm sure it was more than that but I just can't handle the idea of actually putting in words that this post is 4 weeks over-due :} *Augh*

Anywho! What an awesome time it was! We got to re-connect with some friends we had met on P.E.I. last summer and their families and just had an awesome time of fellowship and prayer and fun taking little sight-seeing tours around the area of Nottawa and Collingwood. :) I made the best of friends with a girl named Ryane (a daughter of one of our friends there) whom you will see some pictures of :) and with several girls from Cornerstone Fellowship. And OH how exciting it was to meet them because they had such hearts for God! They all just wanted to be seperate from the world and working for God! It was like a breath of fresh air. =)

I'd like to also point out a really cool thing that happened which is that while we were talking to Ryane and Kirsten (her mother) and Kathy (her mother's best friend) the subject of the Fellowship Commitment came up about abstaining from worldly things (like movies, tv, video games, poor music...) and the need for people to turn these things off to start seeking Jesus and purify their minds. And afterward, Ryane did a very courageous thing! She threw out a whole huge stack of dvds and music and books! Then again the next day threw out more stuff! Oh what a wonderful thing! As excited for her as we all were, how much more was God pleased with her! :) And you know, God will so bless her for that. It seems pretty radical, but God immediately gave her such a joy and lightness in her face! She was positively glowing!

After Nottawa we went on to Cobourg and played at Glad Tidings Pentacostal Church. It was so neat re-connecting with our dear friends the Harmons and getting to spend time with them. They've come to the Island a couple times and we've spent a lot of time with them at our home up there so it was great to finally visit them at their home. :) Also, it was a wonderful night at the concert because God's Holy Spirit was there and at the end (from what I could tell) the whole youth group got up and prayed with us and took the commitment to spend an hour with God each day! (along with many others from the church) It was so exciting! Praise God. :) It was also the coolest thing meeting those teens and finding that they just want to serve God and be sold out for Him! :D Oh thank you Lord for such encouragement!
