Miriam's Moments

The purpose of this blog is to draw you and I to a closer relationship with the living God and to be an encouragement to you who live in the same world as I. This world seeks to bring us down and keep us from catching even a glimpse of our Heavenly Father, so it's our duty as Christians to shine Christ's light in the darkness and help people to see the One Who has created us. I would love to talk with you all about Jesus and share the exciting things He is doing in our lives!

Revival PEI 2009!
What amazing things God did during this time... each day we witnessed Him working in so many ways in all different people... I only wish that my pictures could give a taste of what it was like.. but I'm afraid they fall terribly short of conveying the true times of sweetness and innocence we found in God's Presence. All my pictures have to offer are a few of the fun times we had.. but those who were there know the reality of what we experienced in our lives and walks with God.. the times of refreshment and encouragement, the times where we could only sit and find our spirits just blessed by God's Spirit ministering to us.
~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~
I really couldn't get to many pictures of this time after all because my camera broke earlier on.. but then a dear friend gave me another one so I snagged a few pics. :) *Thank you, dear friend* <3>
what better way to start off a new post than with a lovely Sunday afternoon walk? :)

Yes, it seems like a strange place to end a post.. but see, I really have to many more to come to actually put on the same post... so I thought I'd stop at the end of this particular day and carry on the next morn when comes the posting of our cousin's wedding and the events both preceding and thereafter. SO here I shall end.
Aheh. :) God bless you all and have a great night!!

15.9.09

Hello Everyone!
Hallelujah and praise be to God!! He hath done mighty and wonderful things in this last few months! And in ways that the world at large wouldn't notice.... little, quiet revivals starting in one person here and there... AH it is so sweet to see how the Lord works and how close He is!

Now then, do you suppose that once every three months or so I should post some pictures? Because, I don't want to like, cause anyone information overload or anything.. so I might just, you know, keep things reasonable and sparing...
Well, I finally got the time to sit down and post some pictures for you all, all who have been so kindly reminding me... that it's been... 3 months... since my last post... and some of you who have checked it every day... and finally gave up and just came up to our place to see everything that's going on... you know who you are.
SO for you and all, here is a first installment of our summer- the beginning of the summer when my dear sister and her husband and son came up to visit from GA(!) which was wonderful!! and the completion of the concert hall(!) Praise God! I wanted to make sure I put those pictures up for all those who have been praying so faithfully through the year! :) And then just some random pictures throughout the month of July before Revival PEI. :) You should have seen the busyness! But... we didn't take pictures... so... you can just only imagine! :) lol

Anyways, the summer went wonderfully and now I just can't believe that we're already into Fall(!) and on our tour in New England. We're heading out to PA tomorrow morning for the rest of the week, so if you think of it, please pray for us and all those we meet during the concerts because we so desire and pray that God would draw them to Himself, and bring life into the deadness, and light into the deep darkness. AND pray for your friends and non-friends that they would be drawn to God- that they would suddenly be touched by His Holy Spirit- our nation is impacted by the ones and twos that grow into thousands.

God bless you and keep seeking Jesus! His return is soon! :)

6.6.09

Hello Everyone!!
I'm sorry things have been a bit scattered, we've been quite busy around here (on the Island), so I'm a bit behind (as usual :). haha So these next pictures are of the rest of our time in Ontario. It was SO blessed! We just had such a sweet time of fellowship with our dear friends in Collingwood.
Right now we're on the Island, and the guys have been working steadily on the concert hall. God provides enough each day for us to continue in some way, and when He doesn't, there's always a good reason for it! It's been a real faith-builder all fall, winter, and spring, but it is coming along now! Praise God!

WOW so we've been just rejoicing in the hope of the coming Jesus! We just can't wait for Him to come and Align Leftreign here on earth and set all things to right-- Hallelujah! Here are some verses we were thinking about a couple nights ago:
"Great and marvelous are Thy works, O Lord God, the Almighty;
Righteous and true are Thy ways, Thou King of the nations.
Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Thy name?
For Thou alone art holy; for all the nations will come and worship before Thee,
For Thy righteous acts will be revealed(!)"
~ Revelation 15:3-4
Just awesome verses! So exciting!
I hope you all have a wonderful day and keep earnestly seeking Jesus to better know and understand His nature before His return. God bless you!
In Christ, Miriam

Wasaga Beach from a top a mountain-- we can at least say we've seen it!
(it's the longest freshwater beach in the world, so they claim)
and anybody who has been following my blog long enough may recall last year's
trip up this mountain and the view that wasn't there :) it was all foggy that time
wait just a minute for me too greet it properly

HELLOOOOO WASAGA BEACH!!!

Joel seems to be having some difficulties methinks...

ALRIGHT, now here I just have to tell a little story--
While we were in CT (calmly taking pictures and you know, twittling our thumbs and such :) we were stuck in a really hard spot. You see, we were supposed to go to Virginia, Georgia, and South Carolina from here, but SO many things were going wrong: concerts cancelling, no advertising, unable to afford vehicle insurance (of course we trust God to handle our vehicles, but the state doesn't seem to go with that), unable to afford outdoor liabilities for the show in VA, plus we had SO much work to do up on the Island... that we were actually feeling like... maybe we should be heading home... maybe God is actually closing this door.... We almost never feel this way, but rather press on no matter what happens, type thing.. but this seemed to be really incredibly... different. Well so, we prayed about it, and just left it in God's hands knowing that this weekend's outcome would determine things. So we set off to the Boston area for a Bible study and on the way we got several phone calls, the result of which being a very decided "you must go South"! A pastor called us saying that he had gotten us another school and that he had teams going all over the place advertising the concert, and our friends the Dumeresq's were like "There's no way you're NOT coming!" haha :) WOW well, ... alrighty then.. we're not just a little surprised... but OK! Now we just need God to make a way to get there. (no small thing for us, but very small to God)
Now off to the Bible study...
that night we had just a wonderful, wonderful time of fellowship with dear friends of ours and God just really blessed the night with His Company.
having nacho ministry with our dear friends the Luekens and Scott =D

The next day we did a concert in Weymouth which was amazingly blessed in so many ways- seeing awesome things that God did with different friends who went there.. and reconnecting with dear friends who we hadn't seen in a long time.... it was just so blessed :) Thank You Lord!

After the concert in Weymoth where we got to reconnet with
the Bonnets! yay!

When we came out of the weekend, God had provided miraculously for everything we would need to go down South. Praise God!!! :)

Virginia here we come! WAHOO!

5.6.09

This next post is of our time with our friends the Wainwrights in Ontario-- we got to spend a couple days with them and here's an idea of what those days were like:

30.5.09

Abbie, with walking stick in hand, fearlessly leads the way into the mighty forest of Pickering

just how many of us can we fit onto one tree stump??

what yonder creek wends it's way through willows fair?
*oh.. I'm sorry, apparently that's the "mighty river" ... ahem*

unfazed, the group sallies forth to ford and conquer

I say there Chappy, how d'you suppose one would go about crossing this river-thing here?

now, this seems like your ordinary, average grove of willow trees

teehee it was an oportunitus maximus!
We couldn't resist :)

an outing to the Pickering Landfill!! In our opinion, one hardly can say they've seen
a town unless one has visited the local dump. We compare ALL the towns we visit
by their dump.... doesn't everyone??

yessiree, over on that there plain over there was the location of the very FIRST landfill

a train bridge is a world of adventure
concerned mother

and back at home we again test limits :
just how many of us can we squeeze onto one couch??
*actually, one more- I just didn't get that pic* :)
rainy day *sighhhhhhhh*

we're not the only ones stuck inside =]

at Starbucks! How much better can you get on a rainy day
with great friends?? :)
on our walk home...

Gabe trips
HAHA =D

WOOPS!

*Gabe feels vindicated*

off to the playground we go! When you have your one token kid,
you can get away with just about anything =D
Wahoo!
