Hello there!
I am soooo sorry that I didn't post anything before we took off for South Carolina. You see, it was a rather short notice (to put it lightly) . We got back from God's concert in Pennsylvania and on our way home we decided to try to go to my sister Christa's house for Thanksgiving weekend. (She lives in S.C.) So the next morning we made plans and the morning after that we left. I'm very sorry that I didn't have time to send any notice as it already has been a while since my last post. =( Anywho, Christa also didn't have any internet access so that made emailing, well, difficult. =)
So, now that that's done with, how are you doing??? I hope all are well. =)
I do want to share with you something that God has been really pressing on me especially today and the last week. This spending an hour a day with God is REALLY important! And I have not been doing it. But, throughout the day, God has been sending me notes all over about spending an hour with Him. I have been thinking about how I raised my hand at the last concert to start spending serious time with Him and, I really want to! Why haven't I spent time with Him?? Because by golly, my flesh gets in the way!!! And I'm sick of it!
So, as the day progressed, as I told you, God sent me notes. Gabe got an email from a friend who had taken the commitment, and that encouraged me. Every time I turned a corner, someone was talking about spending time with Him. Then, I got an e-mail from one of my friends entitled: How to spend the Day With God
Hmmmm, I think I'm getting it.
This message is very nice because it's straight forward and just a wonderful guideline of setting a schedule and stuff. If you want, I can e-mail you a copy. So, I invite you all to also take the step, though your flesh will scream and you'll somehow come up with all kinds of excuses of why your to busy or whatever. Please pray for me and I will pray for you.
"... But the one who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life." ~ Gal. 6:8
God bless you and lead you to further love and knowledge of Him!
Love in Christ, Miriam

Miriam,

I know what you mean about flesh getting in the way! I, too, have been struggling in the same area. I'm trying to work harder into making God a part of my WHOLE day, not just my devotions. I'm continually reminding myself to praise him throughout my entire day, despite the distractions. Thanks so much for the post - it was very encouraging!

Hugs from your sister in Christ,
Amanda

P.S. So sad to hear that y'all visited our church Sunday when I was GONE!!! ;( Hope to see you sometime soon!

Yes, I have been working on having God part of my whole day. I talk to Him all the time about things. Unfortuantely...most of those "things" are problems that I need Him to answer qucik! :( So I need to spend more time just talking to Him.
